Membership Levels & Fees

Membership Eligibility
Active Member: shall mean Tour Operators who are in the business of foreign tours (outbound) and travel for at least one year and have organized foreign trips for Tourism/ Study Tours/ Conferences/ Conventions/ MICE/ Medical Tourism and as per rules framed by Board of Director (BOD's) from time to time. Application for 'Active Member' shall be recommended by one Board of Directors (BOD) and any other Active Member who has cleared all its dues as of the date of recommendation.

Criteria for Active Membership:

It is mandatory to have a total outbound remittance/ billing of Tk 15 lakhs per annum.
National ID card
Valid Trade licensee (Subject to license on Tourism/Travel/Tour Operator) (Renewal Copy) 

Proof - One year in Business existence from date of application.

Copy of partnership deed etc.

150 sq. ft. of office space (Minimum).

One website & web-based email id

In addition, the below-given criteria are required:

To get a letter of recommendation from any 3 overseas suppliers.

To get a letter of recommendation from any 2 local business supplier

One staff / Owner should have done a certification course for outbound tourism

Certification from Bank (Solvency)

Inspection of office of the person applying for Active membership by an active member of the Association or any nominated person by the General Secretary other than the proposer.

Membership Fees:
General Member:
Application for Registration fees Tk.30000 (non-refundable)

Associate Member:
Application of Tk.4000 and a Registration fee of Tk.10000 is required (non-refundable).

Overseas Associate Member:
Application for Registration fees USD 100 (non-refundable)

Renewal of Membership:
Renew the active membership after every 1 year Tk.5000 for General Member and US$.25 for Overseas Associate Member.

Associate Member:
Shall mean persons or organizations desiring to expand their base and venture into the business of organizing and conducting overseas trips. Application for 'Associate Member' shall be recommended by one Active Member and any other Member who has cleared all its dues as on date of recommendation."
